Pigeon nets gone … pigeon mess back !

Pigeon mess has quickly become a problem outside Walkden station entrance after the anti-pigeon netting was surprisingly removed last week.

We don’t know why the anti-pigeon nets have been removed from the overbridge outside the station, but one things for sure it didn’t take long for the pigeons to move back to the rafters over the pavement and begin dropping their mess all over the pavement again.

FOWS have been in touch with Northern Rail, Network Rail, and Salford City Council about the unsightly mess and the obvious public health problem it creates. We will report back when information is forthcoming.
